Vic Reeves Back At 888Ladies
When 888Ladies Bingo first launched onto our internet bingo screens the launch was shortly followed by their very successful marketing campaign which featured the well known comedian Vic Reeves donning female attire in preparation for a game or two at 888Ladies. This campaign proved to be really successful and put the brand firmly on the bingo map.
However the next television advertisment for the brand no longer saw Vic Reeves as the front man for the site, the theme changed completely with the ‘Bingo SuperStars’ campaign. The change in advertising saw many in the industry question whether 888Ladies lost brand awareness.
March 2010 saw Vic Reeves back at 888Ladies, not only is he back fronting the television advertising but he is also back on the home page of the site. Whilst many expected that the new campaign would see a new storyline for advertising the brand this was not the case and the commercials are just a rehash of the previous versions simply with an additional tag line of Jackpot Fever at 888Ladies.
Vic Reeves is not the only celebrity to advertise an online bingo brand, Katie Price (Jordan) teamed up with Foxy Bingo in 2007 and a not so well name, DJ Talent (he of Britains Got Talent semi-fame) is currently the face of little known brand, BOGOF Bingo.
As the world of online bingo becomes more and more competetive their is potential for brands to up their game and move on to better known celebrities to front their advertising campaigns. For Foxy Bingo however their loveable Fox is already a household name in his own right!
