You can’t sit in front of the television these days without seeing an advert for at least one online bingo brand and there is another airing now that features the Queen of Bingo, Barbara Windsor. Although I don’t think Babs is worthy of the title, Jackpot Joy have crowned her as such and she is the star of all their bingo commercials. The latest focuses on bingo bonus games at Jackpot Joy, of which avid players at the site will know, there are many.
The new commercial for Jackpot Joy has the Queen of Bingo upon her throne with her bingo ball festooned dress with a pooch sitting on a red cushion beside her sporting a tiara and a bingo ball collar.

When it comes to online bingo commercials we are absolutely inundated with different brands advertising their wares on our television sets at the moment; from the Bet365 Bingo bumpers during Emmerdale to the numerous other brands appearing on the screen – online bingo is big in advertising. The latest to hit the small screen is the Robin Hood Bingo commercial and it’s exactly what we expected it to be.
The full length Robin Hood Bingo commercial is 30 seconds long and starts with a man dressed as Robin Hood stepping out from behind a tree accosting two maids as they stroll through the forest and features a little thigh slapping.

Are you an Emmerdale fan? If the answer is yes then you’ll be used to the Tombola Bingo bumpers that show at the beginning and end of each episode as well as in the commercial breaks. Today we received news that this is set to change as Bet365 Bingo take over sponsorship of Emmerdale. Why Tombola have ended their sponsorship, we don’t know but I’ll definitely miss seeing the happy faces of the Tombola players when Bet365 Bingo take over, at least they were real people and not “bingo heads”.
The change from Tombola to Bet365 Bingo is will happen on 12th March and it will be interesting to see the bumpers from this brand. I once heard that someone actually thought Tombola was a dating site based on the bumpers in the Emmerdale commercial breaks…

Nutty Bingo is one of many online bingo brands that is part of the Dragonfish network so it’s surprising to find that they are advertising on the small screen. We were excited to see what this brand had to offer in their commercial but in all honesty, it’s pretty dire! The star of the Nutty Bingo advert is a right rough looking woman which you could forgive if her voice wasn’t so annoying! However if she were being rated on enthusiasm for the product then she would most definitely be awarded an Oscar because it’s abundantly clear she loves Nutty Bingo.
If the star of the Nutty Bingo advert is supposed to “relate” to a bingo player then it would appear the marketing team have missed the point. Give us a bit of eye candy, not some over-zealous housewife!

There are numerous online bingo adverts showing on television at the moment and the latest to join the melee is the Bid Bingo commercial but how does it fair in the competitive world of advertising from the many bingo sites touting their ware on the small screen? In all honest it’s pretty poor in comparison with most we see but having said that it has incorporated the three key features that appear to be the norm in many bingo adverts; a woman, some bingo balls and a laptop!
The opening sequence for the Bid Bingo advert doesn’t look too dissimilar to a previous advertising campaign from Foxy Bingo in 2009 with their “He’s back” offering as a bingo ball appears from behind the earth. Then a woman who looks to have won the lottery appears on the screen as the voiceover says “Experience the thrill of playing Big Bingo, it’s out of this world!”
