Wink Joy Pot Double Jackpot

Posted by: BingoGal - Friday, Mar. 4th 2011 7:18 AM

Now unless you have been hiding under a stone you will be well aware of the Joy Pot games from the Joy of Bingo network – a £25,000 game that plays once a quarter on one of the different brands powered by this network; Posh, Wink, RedBus and Tasty Bingo. Tickets for the game are £5 each but you can earn free cards by earning 500 pot points.

The last of these games played at Posh Bingo on 1st January 2011 and the lucky winner was a player named “Janinelovestopl”. Unfortunately the player hasn’t claimed her winnings from Posh Bingo and according to the operators, has been non-contactable meaning the next game at Wink Bingo is a rollover.

Now for us this means that the next Joy Pot game (Wink Bingo on 29th April at 10pm) has a mammoth £50,000 jackpot, a rollover because the Posh Bingo player didn’t claim. However you have to ask yourself why she hasn’t claimed her jackpot win – could it be that “Janinelovestopl” is one of the many players who has been banned by Cassava from playing on any brands powered by the 888/Globalcom/Dragonfish sites?

The Terms and Conditions of this promotion from Joy of Bingo clearly state:

  • Winners have 60 days to claim their prize otherwise the winning amount will roll over to the next game.

This is not acceptable in our opinion; when you pay money for a ticket any winnings derived from that purchase are yours are should therefore not time limit on “claiming” should be made. Online bingo games are “auto claim” so the moment her ticket won the game it was “claimed”. Although “Janinelovestopl” may not have been in touch with Posh Bingo since her win there may be numerous reasons for this – illness, family problems or simply that she forget that she bought tickets and has now moved on the play at other brands. Whatever her reason for not touching base with Posh Bingo in order for them to get their publicity story, the money is rightfully hers.

Unless of course, as we suggested earlier, she is one of the many banned players accused of bonus abuse by Cassava in which case she can’t claim her money anyway!

Personally I won’t be investing any money buying tickets for the game, or even try and earn points for a freebie because should I be the winner I’d feel like I had stolen the money from the other player! Don’t get me wrong, if I won 50k and “Janinelovestopl” called me up and asked for what was rightfully hers, likelihood is I would tell her where to get off but rather than put myself in that position I’ll save my fiver and have a night out at bingo instead!
