Dreamland Bingo Background And History

Dreamland Bingo started its life as a variety theatre seating more than 2000 people. Built in the classic art deco style as many theatres were, it was later transformed into a cinema as the theatre industry declined. In the early 1970s the premises were converted for the purposes of bingo, and it was later taken over as part of the Dreamland Amusement Park complex.

In 2007 it closed as part of the general cossure of the whole complex, despite the launch of the ‘Save Dreamland Campaign’.
