When Wish Bingo first launched back in the summer of 2014 it had a very Aladdin-esque type feel to it. There was a genie, a magic lamp and a very middle eastern, cartoon design to it. However, the main character was lost a short while ago as Ignite redesigned all their brands to be compliant with instructions sent by the UK Gambling Commission in October 2017.
A recent visit to the site revealed that Wish Bingo has now had a complete redesign. Whilst it now looks far slicker than it once did, and certainly no longer has any appeal to anyone under the age of 18, it has lost its personality.
More Than Just A Lick Of Paint At Wish Bingo
Usually, these redesigns are limited to the actual main page, the logo often remains untouched. This is not the case at this site, Wish Bingo has a new logo too.
That’s alongside the new welcome bonus that was introduced across all Ignite brands in June 2018. At this point sites like Wish Bingo dropped their now deposit required offers, removed the match bonuses and instead started to offer bingo tickets as rewards for an initial deposit to their site.
At first this seems to lack appeal to the new player but as the online bingo industry all work towards the same sort of bonus structure, we are seeing it as more and more commonplace.
Add in that any winnings from the bingo tickets that you are awarded as part of the welcome package from Wish Bingo do not carry wagering requirements, there’s a lot to be said about the new player-focused offerings.
Are we set to see more redesigns from other brands under the same operator hat? We expect so.
