Jackpot Joy Spoof Commercial

As a bingo player it is very likely that you will have noticed the Jackpot Joy commercial on your television. Some love it, others hate it but you have to admit that the new campaign featuring Barbara Windsor has definitely made this brand a name that everyone now knows. Something that all marketing, for whichever brand, aims to achieve be it an offline or online campaign.

A recent EGR Gaming Awards event saw Jackpot Joy scoop the 2010 Best Marketing Campaign award but a recent scout around You Tube turned up a Jackpot Joy spoof commercial that had us chuckling away to ourselves.

At first glance this spoof commercial doesn’t appear to be much different to the original but then the new soundtrack kicks in and Barbara Windsor, although regal as the Queen of Bingo, reverts back to her best known role as Peggy Mitchell, landlady of the Queen Vic. There are guest appearances in the spoof Jackpot Joy commercial for Phil and Grant and whilst Jackpot Joy focused their attention on Babs Windsor’s famous Carry On giggle, the creators of the spoof have put more emphasis on the Peggy phrase “Get outta my pub”.

The new background music, Horny by Mousse T versus Hot and Juicy, is very apt considering that Phil and Grant, more youthful looking, drop their trousers at Babs’s request to “show her their balls”.

Take a look for yourself:

For the creator this is ingenius work and definitely worth a watch for the giggle but for www.jackpotjoy.com this must be the sincerest form of flattery – knowing that your marketing has inspired someone enough that they want to take the time to make a spoof!
