If you play at any 888 / Cassava powered sites, then you may just need to start looking carefully at how you handle your money. Over the last couple of months, I’ve been hearing an increasing number of reports from people who have been banned from Cassava powered sites on a number of different networks. The one thing these reports have in common is that players are what you would describe as unprofitable.
They all seem to share the same profile – they withdraw more than they deposit – and use their frequent withdrawals to refund their accounts and take advantage of the reload bonus. One has been told they’re abusing bonuses by doing this. Others have been told they are unacceptable as players as they only deposit funds when the site offers an extra deposit bonus. Either way, players are having their accounts frozen without warning, and some are having their winnings withheld as a result. Well, I’m here to say this sort of behaviour is not on, and appeal to Cassava to stop this shoddy behaviour. I’m also here to warn you about what’s happening, so as you can take steps to stop yourself becoming one of the banned.
Imagine walking in to your local Tesco and being stopped at the door by the manager. His reason for stopping you from entering his store is the fact that the last 10 times you visited the store, you only bought items that were buy one, get one free? Imagine being banned from you local bingo hall because you only play on the days when the books are half price, and then when you win you actually have the temerity to take your winnings away with you and not spend them in the club. Well, as shocking and unlikely as these real world situations would seem, it seems to be becoming a reality in the online bingo realm.
This sort of behaviour is simply not acceptable to us bingo players. If you don’t want us to take advantage of these offers, the answer is simple – don’t offer them to players. If you do, don’t punish those the rightly and smartly take advantage of them. It’s bad enough players normally have to wait a week to get their winnings back, but keeping them in a site to spend should not be considered the right thing to do. Ever.
I’ve heard from 6 or 7 players the last few months that this has happened to them, I’m sure this is just the tip of the iceberg. If this is becoming a policy for Cassava powered sites, then my time as a player with them is also limited. I only ever deposit when an extra deposit bonus is offered to me (I like getting something for nothing) and I always withdraw my winnings. In fact, I’d go as far as to say I withdraw more than I actually deposit. I wonder how long it is till my account falls under this ruling, if it is indeed what Cassava are playing at?

I to have just felt the sting of cassava, all my accounts have been locked and am still awaiting my pending withdrawl and account balance to be refunded. I can not belive they treat there customers like this and just hope and pray that enough people realize that you just cant win with these cheats. Me again lol obsessed well not really just hate feeling ripped off and cheated if a site is not playing fair then what chance do you have, i would just like to know how when there are regularly taking funds from your bank without a peep how there is suddenly a serious sercuity issue when you want to withdraw. Surely if ther was a sercuity issue it would even more so apply to when there are taking funds from your bank account. This issue seems to be affecting a number of players, and I hear more and more finding themselves caught out by it. Cassava / 888 really need to address this issue and either accept that players can win and withdraw as they choose or make it clearer that players will lose their accounts if they do.
Yes i agree but tell me how would sign up to a site if they clearly stated that if you were lucky enough to win there is a good chance that they will block you and not pay what you have fairly won. We deposit with good faith trusting that things are done properly but in cassava case this is not so
My best advice is to keep all the info you have from the site, request a financial log if you can no longer access yours, and get in contact with the Gibraltar Gaming Authority. You’ll find details on where to contact them in the complaints section.
I was banned from all of Cassava powered sites back in January. They refused to discuss with me why I was banned, the only reason I got was ‘security issues’.
I played all sites owned operated by Foxy (cashcade, mirror, bscotland, think, you name it I played it), Wink, BBR and 888ladies, to name a few. Winning the biggest jackpots on every site at least once, with my final big prize of a car at chrimo from 888.
The reason why I was really banned was because a member of management at Foxy ‘hq’ got fed up seeing my name appearing on the big jp winners list too often, especially on their competitors sites after Foxy had been plugging my name and piccie on their winners’ pages over the years.
They have witheld thousands of pounds worth of prizes on various sites for my ex-partner, my sister and myself, with no recourse for any of us. My crime was having 2 active accounts so I have no grounds for appeal, having reviewed their terms and conditions the GGA will not even consider anything. Their standard reply is take it up with the site, but these sites do not have an official complaints procedure – so how can we contact their complaints section?, this is also a beach of their licence which I have examined!!!!
I could go on and on, after having keep my mouth shut for the last 6 months, I thought it was only my family, friends and myself who had been affected but this is quite obviously not the case.
Players have very few peeps fighting their corner, their is a few voices, but the big companies just squash us down like flies 🙁

I was banned from all of the cassava sites about 6 weeks ago. The reason they gave was I was playing their free games
‘ in a professional manner’ and they witheld some of my winnings. As I am disabled and can’t go out much I did play the games all day but so did a lot of other people who have not been banned. One of my sons was also banned at the same time as me, for the same reason as me but they witheld all of his winnings. We were both annoyed at the time because we had both bought tickets for jackpot games and will never know if we won and if we did where the money went. Another of my sons joined two of their sites late last Wednesday afternoon and played for a few hours, he deposited on both sites. He logged in on Thursday to play in the debut room on one site and played on the other site as well. Friends of his came to see him and they were playing video games but he stayed logged in because he didn’t want to miss the debut room. He only clicked on one room on each site because it was easier but that evening his accounts were blocked. The reason they gave him was that his accounts were related to ones that had previously been blocked and his ‘regular strange gaming practices’ whatever that means. He wasn’t even on the site for two days, how did they determine his gaming practices??? Yes, he is related to me but he has his own life and used his own debit card and email address. He also bought tickets in the jackpot games and now he doesn’t know if he won and never will. This is wrong, they were happy to take his money and for no real reason banned him. They never mentioned if they were going to pay out the winnings he had.

There are numerous sites available online today that don’t use the Cassava/888/Globalcom/Dragonfish platform and network. I have just been blocked from Cassava sites and am going round and round with emails trying to figure out why.
I play at Foxy,Costa,City mainly playing the free games with the odd low ticket game here and there.
After bing lucky enough to win £25 last thursday at Foxy, I now find myself blocked from all cassava sites and told not to join anymore???!!
I have not used the reload bonus option so can only assume I have been banned because I actually won?

This has happened to me. I joined shampoo bingo last week as i googled ‘new bingo sites’…I lost £160 then won £600 on a scratch card. I tried to bank £480 but they have froze my account!!. I don’t know why?? I am a new member and met all the terms and conditions. They just don’t care and wont offer me any explanation, only telling me that ‘due to security they can’t tell me why!

I am really sorry to hear that you are another to hit the list of players banned with no real explanation as to why. Unfortunately I dont have the answer for you (I’m leaving it to David :))
What I can do though is suggest a number of sites that I play at that aren’t under Cassava. A personal favourite of mine is Tombola Bingo; it uses it’s own software and is probably the most innovative of all brands available online today.
Another, if you are looking for a bit more interaction with other players is BingoCams, more for the exhibitionist player though because if you have a web cam and its on, get lucky and your winning moment is shared with all the players in the room.
For a more ‘social networking’ kind of experience there is Wonder Bingo and they are offering a £5 no deposit required welcome bonus for new players.

I was blocked from Foxy last July, as was my husband although different e mail and bank account. His crime was to live in the same house as someone who won more than i deposited. In no way did i cheat (dont think you can really), just took advantage of bonus offers and played when the odds were in my favour (less people playing for set jackpots). I was banned from Wink about 18-months ago for “security issues”. My crime was to usually break even and to once win £800 funded from the winnings off free games. So far Im still allowed on all other cassava sites but reading the number of complaints Im increasingly uncomfortable with still playing them. Arent the Government looking at making all gambling sites fall under UK laws? Maybe thats the way to go re complaints – take it to your MP. And Watchdog on TV.

I got my blocked cheeky account message today – apparent bonus abuse. I was a member of 15 Cassava sites and find that they are all blocked, all have some form of funds in them because of the way I play the game. Not cheating but depositing £5 at a time so as not to receive bonuses.
I have sent a long email going through their message and their T&C’s breaking it all down. I also cc’d this to the Guernsey regulating authority and Cashcade which is the UK element of the site.

The only way to hurt these people is by word of mouth from bingo players. I suggest you tell as many people as you can to avoid cassava bingo sites, also use your email signiture to tell people to stay away from these sites
I think of it this way… for every player i direct away from cassava they are losing hundreds of pounds
Hittting there pockets is the only way.. Based in gibralta and sharing the same building as the gaming authority makes you wonder what underhand dealings maybe going on.. Backhanders for turning a blind eye or threats of people losing jobs are all possibilities..
So you need to target uk based players and authorities where cassava will have very little sway

oh my goodness !!!! how many people have had this done to them recently !! Have had my account blocked on Cassava site for the crime of depositing £5 to add to £25 free win so I could withdraw the minimum £30 !! Needless to say they won’t pay out. I received the same email from cassava saying they had blocked my accounts for abusing the bonus. In total over all the sites they had blocked I had over £3000.00 processing and pending, that is all the money I have in the world. i have the same issues about costa bingo and brits and sing i have been booted out of the sites as i was winning them i maid the mistake of playing free bingo as well that is the reason they give me for being booted out not the fact that i was winning
i had had the same issue as well been playing for over 2 years got up to platium level and out the blue they kick me out because iwas winning they said the same it was becouse a was using the free games if you dont deposit you carnt play the free games so what is there problem if you lose all the time you can stay in there sites but if you win good buy
I too was a player on cassava sites and had become a gold member on Costa which was the site I played on more, this meaning that they had recieved plenty of money from me. Yet due to the fact that i played on free as well as in paid rooms. I was accused of playing professionally as I withdrew any monies I won whenever I could, This resulted in be being banned. I did receive the monies that were owed to me totalling £200 so I was more fortunate than others. I believe that cassava are nothing more than crooks and would advise anybody considering joining these sites to avoid them like the plague.
