A Makeover For Wish Bingo

When Wish Bingo first launched back in the summer of 2014 it had a very Aladdin-esque type feel to it. There was a genie, a magic lamp and a very middle eastern, cartoon design to it. However, the main character was lost a short while ago as Ignite redesigned all their brands to be compliant with instructions sent by the UK Gambling Commission in October 2017.

A recent visit to the site revealed that Wish Bingo has now had a complete redesign. Whilst it now looks far slicker than it once did, and certainly no longer has any appeal to anyone under the age of 18, it has lost its personality.

Bonus Changes For Gamesys Brands

Over the last few months we have seen quite a number of changes in the way bonuses are offered to players. At first these changes were linked to a new tax that was introduced in August 2017 which saw operators charged a tax of 15% on free play offers.

More recently there have been instructions from the Gambling Commission for online gambling business to take immediate action against unfair terms and conditions. The cut off date for the changes that need to be implemented was 28th February. Whilst Jackpot Joy and Heart Bingo didn’t have unfair T&C’s for their previous offers, they have made significant changes to their bonus structure for new players recently.

Hefty Fine For Butlers Bingo

In June 2016 the Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) upheld a complaint about Butlers Bingo and the site was told that it must ensure all of their ads contained the wagering requirements for promotions. You can read the full ruling here. The ommission of these details had resulted in them breaching two CAP Codes but what it also did was led the Gambling Commission to further investigate all the brands under the Broadway Gaming hat. These include Glossy, Rehab and Dotty Bingo as well as Bingo Diamond and Casino of Dreams.

The investigation by the Gambling Commission found that Butlers Bingo and it’s associated websites were all falling short of meeting the social responsibility standards that has been set out.
