Regal Ambassador Bingo Background And History
The Regal Ambassador will never return, not to it’s original site at least, as the derelict building is making way for a development of flats. It was formerly known as the Regal Cinema, so it is not just bingo players who will miss the building but many others. It opened in the 1920s and the cinema was renovated in and re-opened in 1941 by J.B. Milne although it was to close in 1963 to be converted to a bingo hall.
