Aussie Soaps Sponsored By Gala Bingo

Gala Bingo are regulars in the commercial breaks of many of our favourites shows but now they are going to be the name that you see in the adverts for popular Australian soaps Home And Away and Neighbours too. Recently they signed a sponsorship deal with Channel 5 and if you are fans of these soaps, you’ll see the well-known brand appearing and the start and finish of the commercial breaks.

It’s not the first, and most certainly won’t be the last time that we see Gala Bingo advertising their wares on the small screen but the bumper idents for the commercial break for Home And Away and Neighbours will boast an Aussie accent. The theme is still ‘Play Happy’ but we see a more Australian style bingo call used.

Australian Lingo For Gala Bingo

You’ll hear the caller saying ‘Koala in a tree’ or ‘Two sausages on a barbie’ with associated images showing on screen for the new bumpers. You’ll also see the brand logo and might even see details of the current welcome offer too.

We’ve already seen the brand create exclusive themed games for other soaps and TV shows that they sponsor like Coronation Street, Emmerdale and more recently, The Chase. Could we be set to see similar for Neighbours and Home And Away?

Gala Bingo Excited With Deal

The brand director for Gala Bingo, Angus Nisbet, is reported as having said:

We are very excited to announce our latest sponsorship deal with Channel 5, Neighbours and Home & Away. These shows are practically UK institutions, and we love following the trials and tribulations of the characters in Summer Bay and Ramsey Street, and we know our customers do, too.

By aligning our brand with specific TV programmes, we’re able to give a significant level of awareness, connecting with our existing audience, as well as reaching new customers.

As for us, well we’re looking forward to the corresponding promotion and potential trip to Australia that we’re hoping that are going to launch soon!
