Money Saving Expert To Take Up Bingo?

This week we heard a story about Martin Lewis popping into a bingo hall for his series last Autumn, and we wondered if the self-proclaimed Money Making Expert was going to start advocating the game as a way to save money. In fact he was there to offer advice to people on the best way to meet the cost of living and he took with him Apprentice Star and runner-up of the show Saira Khan.

Martin Lewis, television and Internet money-saving expert popped into the local Point Bingo hall in Bracknell to dole out his advice, aimed especially at the older players who play at Point Bingo in the town. We were wondering if he might make this a yearly event, and we’ll be eager to see if he’s down the bingo with the blue-rinse brigade this Autumn too.

The whole evening was part of Martin Lewis’ ITV Show, The Martin Lewis Money Show, which was shown on Tuesday evenings throughout the Autumn last year, and he had some interesting, and useful advice for many of the bingo players at the hall.

So if you think Martin Lewis is about to take up the popular game, then it’s not likely, although it seems he got into the spirit of things in the bingo hall. He was offering advice to older players at The Point Leisure Complex about Treasury Bonds and other ways to meet the ever-increasing cost of living.

Martin Lewis is already popular with online bingo players who use the Money Saving Forum to pick up bingo codes from time to time, but will he be following up this excursion with another trip around the bingo halls this Autumn? It seems it was a success, and his advice popular, but whether he’s become a regular at the bingo is unknown.
