Wix Bingo, One To Avoid

Posted by: BingoGal - Wednesday, Mar. 16th 2011 7:26 AM

Of late we have seen many new bingo brands launch onto our screens and many, as is predominantly the case, are just ‘skins’ on a network. Basically this means they have a virtual lick of paint to make the home page look different but scratch the surface and you’ll usually find a site that we have seen a hundred times before. This is not the case with Wix Bingo and we were instantly drawn by the prospect of ‘proprietary software’ (software created specifically for a brand).

We registered despite our initial reservations considering that Wix Bingo is registered in Cyprus, a country in the EU that automatically hits the white list. However this is usually a haven for brands that don’t offer the best Terms and Conditions for the player.

What instantly hit us was a similarity to another software provider that we aren’t overly keen on and most definitely doesn’t favour the player, Cozy Games and it would not shock us to find that the same people are involved with Wix Bingo. Giving the brand the benefit of the doubt we wandered into the room to find absolutely no players! A good start for Wix Bingo – could it be that players are of the same mind set as us?

Of course you can’t visit a new brand without checking out the Terms and Conditions and boy are we glad that we did! Wix Bingo has a €5 charge for inactive accounts, thank goodness we didn’t actually deposit at the site. We couldn’t have won any money as there were no players in the rooms and after 180 days our account would have been €5 lighter had we not played for real money in that time period. 30 days after that we would have been charged another €5! I guess with such a poor quality offering Wix Bingo have to make their money somehow!

This is most definitely a brand to avoid!

Dear Bingogal,

Just a few clarifications :) Wixbingo is all original we are not a skin site we are have nothing to do with cozy or whatever. Also due to popular demand we have removed the abandonment fees. Today is our grand opening (midday CET) and I invite you to come check us out and perhaps re-evaluate your experience.

Best

I did not suggest that you had anything to do with Cozy Games, simply noted the similarities :) Nice to hear that you have removed the abandonment fees but really, should there have been the “demand” before they were removed? They shouldn’t have been there in the first place!

I might, at some point, return and take a look but will again speak as I find. If the improvements and player experience aren’t there, then my follow up will say just that :) It’s all about the player!

Thanks

BingoGal
